Do visitors need to download an app to scan the QR code?
No. Any modern phone's built-in camera will read the QR and open the memorial in a web browser. No account, no app, no friction.
What happens if the QR code weathers over time?
Our codes are generated at the highest error-correction level (level H). This means the QR remains scannable even with up to 30% of the code surface damaged or worn — built for decades outdoors.
Is the SVG file ready for stone engravers?
Yes. The SVG is a clean vector path with no embedded fonts or rasters — exactly what monument engravers ask for. You can also order an engraved bronze plaque from us as an upgrade.
What happens to the memorial when an activation plan expires?
The QR temporarily stops resolving to the public memorial, but the memorial data is never deleted. Anyone in the family can reactivate it later with any plan and the full story returns instantly.
Who can edit the memorial?
The primary administrator (the family member who created it) can edit anytime. They can also designate a backup admin — typically another family member — who can take over if needed.
How many photos and videos can I add?
Unlimited photographs and up to 3 video tributes per memorial. Videos can be eulogies, family messages, or recordings of your loved one in their own voice.
Can a funeral home or monument company set up the memorial for me?
Yes. We partner with funeral homes and monument companies to offer Legacy Mark as part of their services. Ask your provider, or we can refer you to a partner in your area.
What if I lose access to my account?
Each memorial has a backup admin. If both admins lose access, contact support — we have a documented family-verification process to restore access without compromising the memorial's safety.
Is my family's data private?
Yes. Public memorial pages display only what the administrator chooses to publish. We never sell your data, run third-party ads on memorial pages, or share information with anyone outside our service.
